United Engine & Machine Co. is seeking a highly organized and resourceful Administrative Manager to oversee the day-to-day administrative operations that support our multi-state workforce. Reporting directly to the President, this is a highly visible and fast-paced role where you'll serve as the central point of coordination for employees, leadership, vendors, and external partners. You'll play a key role in supporting our employees while ensuring our office operations, HR administration, benefits, facilities, and technology systems operate efficiently and effectively.
You'll oversee employee onboarding support, workers' compensation coordination, document and asset management, office policies, and vendor relationships while partnering with our Managed IT Service Provider to coordinate technical support and software deployments. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who enjoys wearing many hats, embraces new technology, and thrives in an environment where every day brings new challenges.
This position is a full-time, onsite role based in Carson City, Nevada. Enjoy a four-and-a-half-day workweek with 9-hour days Monday through Thursday and a half-day (4 hours) every Friday. The selected candidate will travel to our Arizona location approximately twice per year for one week per trip.
The ideal qualified candidate will have the following minimum skills and experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, preferred.
· Minimum of four (4) years of experience managing office operations, business administration, or a similar administrative role.
· Minimum of one (1) year of Human Resources experience, including employee benefits administration (health insurance and 401(k)) and a solid knowledge of employment laws, workers' compensation, leave administration, and HR compliance.
· Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing basic IT support and coordinating with managed IT service providers, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems, office management software (such as DocuSign), and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
