CNC Machinist / CNC Application Engineer (Temp-to-Hire)Location: City of Paramount, CASchedule: Full-Time, 1st ShiftCompensation: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience) Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist / CNC Application Engineer to join our growing manufacturing team. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced CNC technology, develop optimized machining processes, and contribute to the precision and efficiency of our production operations. Key ResponsibilitiesCNC MachinistSet up, operate, and monitor CNC lathes and mills (vertical and horizontal).Perform on-the-floor C-code programming and make necessary adjustments.Calibrate and maintain machines to ensure production accuracy and efficiency.Inspect machined parts to verify dimensional and quality specifications.CNC Application EngineerDevelop and optimize CNC programs using MASTERCAM and C-code.Design and fabricate custom work-holding fixtures and tooling.Conduct time studies and prepare detailed process documentation.Utilize SolidWorks to design tooling, gaging, and engineering models.Lead and support turnkey projects from setup through full implementation.Select and recommend appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and accessories.Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to uphold high manufacturing standards. QualificationsRequired:Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience.Proficiency in C-code programming and CNC operation.Experience with multi-axis lathes and mill-turn machines.Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and MASTERCAM.Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints.Excellent problem-solving, mathematical, and analytical skills.Strong communication and documentation abilities.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.Preferred:Background in aluminum door and window manufacturing.Experience with window machining centers such as Elumatec, FOM, or Emegi. CompensationEntry-Level CNC Machinist: $25/hourExperienced (3 years): $27–$30/hourTemp-to-Hire opportunity with potential for long-term growth. Why Join Us?This is a great opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking manufacturing team that values precision, innovation, and professional growth.
