We are currently searching for a Geotechnical Engineer to join an international client in the solar energy industry. The ideal candidate is a creative, intelligent, and driven professional who wants to change the world by making solar energy affordable. Candidates must be located in the Northeast region and have the ability to come to their office in Southern CT 2-4 times a month.


Duties:


  • Identify geotechnical design risks and provide preliminary recommendations for foundation type, embedment depth, and feasibility.
  • Develop load test (pull test) procedures for field verification of foundation designs.
  • Review and interpret pull test results and collaborate with internal geotechnical and structural engineers to finalize foundation designs.
  • Review site geotechnical reports during project development and support the business development team with technical evaluations.
  • Support continuous improvement of internal geotechnical design practices and standards.


Requirements:


  • 1 to 7 years of geotechnical experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, specifications, and geotechnical reports.
  • Field oversight and planning of geotechnical field investigations
  • Prior experience with deep foundations, driven piles, or load testing.
  • Experience with LPILE or similar lateral pile analysis software is a plus

Salary : $80,000 - $125,000
