A premier scrap metal processing company specializing in aerospace-grade superalloys and titanium in the Southeast is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the overall facility operations, including processing of aerospace metals, high-temperature alloys, and stainless steel, ensuring throughput, quality, and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Led operations, strategy, and financial performance for high-volume ferrous and non-ferrous processing facilities.
- Managed capital projects that increased production efficiency, improved asset life, and reduced operating costs.
- Oversaw forecasting, inventory control, expense management, and regulatory/safety compliance.
- Directed and developed teams of 30–50 employees and contractors, improving engagement and cross-training.
- Implemented performance and incentive programs that boosted efficiency, safety, and accountability.
- Strengthened supplier relationships to increase volume and margins while maintaining strong safety performance.
Qualifications:
- 7 years metals recycling management experience
- Knowledgeable in Scrap metal processing (stainless steels & high temp alloys), heavy equipment & facility logistics
- Strong leadership skills with ability to manage cross-functional teams
- Working knowledge of safety, compliance & environmental regulations
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational & communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
