About the Opportunity
A leading and rapidly growing Ready Mix Concrete producer with a stellar reputation in the Northeast is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee all aspects of quality across 5 plants and 100 mixers. This is a senior leadership position reporting directly to the President, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Position Overview
The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for ensuring product quality, consistency, and compliance across all operations. This role provides strategic leadership to the QC team, implements best practices, and works closely with senior management to uphold the company’s reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all quality control operations across 6 plants and a fleet of 100 mixers.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with industry standards, specifications, and regulations.
- Supervise and mentor QC personnel, providing training and professional development.
- Conduct mix design development, performance testing, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Dispatch teams to consistently meet customer requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in materials, testing, and processes to optimize quality and efficiency.
- Represent the company in technical matters with customers, engineers, and regulatory agencies.
- Report directly to the President as a key member of the leadership team.
Qualifications
- 7 years of quality control/technical experience in the Ready Mix Concrete industry.
- Proven leadership skills with prior experience managing QC teams.
- In-depth knowledge of mix designs, materials, and industry standards (ASTM, ACI, DOT, etc.).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
