We are an Electrical Contractor who is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have electrical estimating experience, knowledge of electrical estimating software, and experience in the natural gas or industrial construction industry.
Responsibilities
· Prepare estimates and competitive hard bids for electrical construction projects.
· Develop detailed material and labor takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and other bid documents.
· Estimate labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor costs, permitting, and other project-related expenses.
· Solicit and evaluate competitive proposals and pricing from subcontractors and vendors.
· Review drawings, specifications, proposals, and related documents to determine project requirements.
· Collaborate with the project team to evaluate applicable codes, industry standards, schedules, and project-specific requirements.
· Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project meetings as required.
· Provide professional and responsive customer service to clients, vendors, and project partners.
Qualifications
· Previous electrical estimating experience.
· Experience with electrical estimating software.
· Experience in the natural gas or industrial construction industry is preferred.
· Knowledge of hazardous locations and the NEC requirements regarding materials.
· Ability to accurately estimate electrical scopes of work.
· Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
· Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and respond to unexpected project needs.
· Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
· Ability to work a flexible schedule when required.
