What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drywall Punch Tech position at United Drywall?
United Drywall is looking for Drywall Punch Techs for immediate hire. The ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing subcontractors and construction site organization. This person should be able to determine and address any risk areas to maintain the safety of workers. Candidate will be responsible for multiple projects at once. Other responsibilities include maintaining project budgets including back charges and change orders (EPO’s), maintaining project schedules, scheduling/coordinating with all trades to run projects smoothly, efficiently and on budget per the plans and specifications. This candidate should be experienced in communicating project milestones with clients and other parties and be able to establish a timeline for completion. Make recommendations to management regarding proposed and existing projects. Great communication with Project Executive is a must. Ongoing field support and training as needed will be implemented and maintained by manager.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- BILINGUAL/SPANISH
- Floor plan layout, blueprint plan reading expertise
- Manage sub crews and punch out crews as necessary. This includes scheduling, training, auditing work load and hours of punch crews and working difectly with production crews and ensuring quality, build time and profitability.
- Thorough understanding of interior & exterior framing, hanging, and finishing methods
- Planning and scheduling all trades/project coordination
- Manage subcontractors and construction site organization
- Manage Extra Purchase Orders and Back Charges
- Oversee daily operation of framing, hanging, and finishing of drywall systems
- Quality control
- Punch out management
- Safety and loss prevention
- Inspections
- Extensively communicate project progress
- Project coordination with other trades
- Understanding of shop drawings and other construction documents
- Produce and Update Project Schedule to Client
- Quality Control
- Computer literate: Must be proficient with computer use especially with Excel and Word software.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and can pass a background check. Salary commensurate with experience.
