Immediate opening for Room Leaders at our before/after school programs located in Beacon Falls and Prospect.
Position Summary:
Responsible for the care, education, supervision and safety of all children in their care as part of a team. Helps keep the program running smoothly and keeps head teacher/director aware of any concerns/issues. Learns, implements and ensures compliance with State of CT Licensing standards.
Minimum qualifications/requirements
- Experience in childcare, before/after school setting preferred.
- Clear understanding of OEC licensing requirements, and willingness to meet.
- Must have or obtain current first aid, CPR, and medication administration training.
- Must be able to successfully pass all security and background checks in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills.

- Positive, creative and healthy attitude
- Must have personal qualities necessary to care for and work with children, work as part of a team and communicate with parents and other professionals.
- Flexible schedule to work before and after school shifts approx. 6:30-8:30 and 2:45-5/6
- Occasional 8:30-10:30 and/or 12:45-5/6 on delayed openings or early dismissal days
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
