Quality Specialist - ISO 9001
The ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the company's quality management system (QMS) meets the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance processes and procedures, conducting audits, and providing training to staff on quality standards and practices. The specialist works closely with various departments to promote a culture of continuous improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Maintain QMS:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s QMS in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Document and update quality policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Ensure all quality management documentation is current and accurately reflects the company's practices.
Audit and Compliance:
- Plan, conduct, and report on internal audits to assess compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Coordinate and support external audits and certification processes.
- Identify non-conformities, recommend corrective actions, and verify the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Training and Development:
- Provide training and support to employees on quality management principles and practices.
- Develop and deliver training programs related to ISO 9001 standards and quality improvement techniques.
Continuous Improvement:
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
- Implement and monitor quality improvement projects and initiatives.
Customer and Supplier Relations:
- Address customer complaints and work with relevant departments to resolve quality issues.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards and requirements.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments as needed. Qualifications: • Education and Experience
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in quality management, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance.
- Certification in ISO 900:2015 lead auditing is highly desirable.
- CMMI experience is a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of ISO 900:2015 standards and quality management principles.
- Excellent auditing and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel as needed for audits and training sessions.
