This position is located on-site in Miramar, Florida.
Financial Analyst
The primary purpose of this position is to manage and reconcile telecommunications vendor billing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contracts and financial data. This position also requires preparing and validating monthly telecommunications billing data.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Reconcile, maintain, and track circuit detail by vendor to internal records and financial information
- Review vendor invoices for accuracy and identify cost saving opportunities
- Submit timely, well documented disputes to vendors for erroneous billing
- Work with vendor portals and electronic invoicing as applicable to process invoices effectively
- Track, manage, and resolution of vendor discrepancies and vendor credits
- Proactively identify missing accounts from telecommunication vendor invoices
- Identify and submit cost accruals to AP Department
- Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices
- Assist with bill payment activities as required including interaction with vendor portals and credit card payments
- Review vendor contracts and terms against vendor invoices to help ensure agreement/compliance
- Preparation, analysis and validation of monthly billing data
- Reconcile billing data between communications platform, billing system and ERP
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Post-graduate education a plus
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Telecom bill paying experience preferred
- Experience with vendor portals, electronic invoices, multiple payment methods including via portal and by credit card, preferred
- Practical knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent internal and external customer service orientation
- High proficiency with MS Office, with advanced Excel skills
- Experienced in leading or participating in process improvement initiatives
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment
- Ability to manage multiple assignments projects and tasks concurrently
- Must be detail oriented and execute with a high level of accuracy
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills
- Must have a strong work ethic and display personal and corporate integrity
- Must be self-motivated and results-driven

- Must be team-focused
- Knowledge of accounting systems such as Sage 500, Dynamics, Rev.io, a plus
