United Concrete Products is looking for an experienced Purchasing & Inventory Manager to lead procurement and inventory operations at our precast concrete manufacturing facility. What You'll Do
- Source and purchase raw materials (rebar, wire mesh, admixtures) and production supplies
- Negotiate pricing and contracts with vendors to control costs
- Manage inventory levels for raw materials, tools, and finished goods
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventories; resolve discrepancies
- Supervise and develop a team of buyers and inventory staff
- Partner with Production and Logistics to keep materials flowing on schedule
- Track vendor performance and identify cost-saving opportunities
What You Bring
- 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management
- 3 years in a supervisory or management role
- Experience with ERP/inventory software
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools
Nice to Have
- Experience in precast concrete, ready-mix, or construction materials manufacturing
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle/fleet parts procurement
