United Concrete Products, Inc.’s in Wallingford, CT is currently seeking a_ Warehouse & Logistics Associate _to join our team. The desired candidate will have two (2) to three (3) years’ experience in warehouse operations. Candidates will have good communication skills and will operate with the highest ethical standards.
Candidates will be responsible for all receiving and inventory of deliveries, stocking, distribution of supplies and equipment to team members in our production facility. Knowledge of maintaining a warehouse, including methods of proper and orderly storage critical.
Duties and responsibilities:
Shipping & Receiving:
- Unload incoming shipments using a forklift.
- Check in shipments via computer, ensuring accuracy and documentation.
- Stage outgoing shipments, including boxing items, printing, and attaching shipping labels.
Material Handling & Inventory Control:
- Load job lanes with the appropriate materials.
- Perform inventory control tasks, including noting incoming stock, charging outgoing parts to jobs, and crediting unused parts back to stock.
- Conduct monthly quantity checks to verify stock levels.
Facility Maintenance & Waste Management:
- Empty garbage cans and small dumpsters as needed.
- Operate a forklift to empty small dumpsters.
- Coordinate with dispatch to schedule the emptying of large dumpsters.
- Sweep floors using a riding floor-cleaning machine.
- Shovel doorways to maintain clear access during inclement weather.
Vendor & Rigging Support:
- Use the company vehicle to pick up materials from local vendors.
- Assist with rigging operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Two (2) to three (3) years in warehouse experience
- Excellent verbal, problem solving, and speaks clearly and persuasively, listens to employees and addresses issues
- Forklift operation
- Experience with building products encouraged by not required
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
