United Concrete Products Inc. is a leader in producing precast concrete solutions for our customers. We are seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our Maintenance department in Wallingford, CT.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform crane maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and inspections
- Provide support for the installation, startup and commissioning of new and used equipment
- Diagnose problems by operating or inspecting equipment with computerized testing tools
- Reads and interpret mechanical prints and diagrams
- Performs general preventive maintenance duties
- Interacts with vendors and outside service providers
- Maintains tools, equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly manner
- Collects, analyzes and reports predictive maintenance data
- Completes documentation as needed
- Performs a wide range of essential duties requiring heavy lifting, awkward work positions, climbing ladders and frequent movement both within and outside multi-floor buildings
- Covers off-shift calls as needed. Attends work regularly and reliably
Required Skills for Crane Technician:
- 3 years of heavy equipment, maintenance and repair experience
- Positive attitude, motivated with mechanical aptitude
- Possess personal hand tools
- Have successfully completed appropriate mechanical certificate programs in repairs and service, or equivalent hands-on experience
