United Community Bank is in search of a Legal Processor to be located at our bank in Alton, IL. Under the supervision of the Data Manager, the Legal Processor is directly responsible for the overall monitoring, completion, and follow-up of retail legal requests for the organization. Perform other duties as assigned.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Process Subpoena’s, Summons, and Search Warrants within requested timeframe.
- Process Garnishments, Citations, and Levies with a high degree of accuracy.
- Maintain professional communications with issuing agencies on a regular basis.
- Send notification of legal requests to customers, when required.
- Gather requested documentation and submit to requesting agency using secure methods.
- Notify retail staff of legal request and action taken.
- Log all requests.
- Review customers account for exempt funds.
- Debit customers’ accounts as needed to satisfy judgements against them.
- Follow up on outstanding legal requests.
- Provide great customer service.
- Maintain positive relationships with bankers and managers.
- Cross train on other Data roles as a backup when necessary.
- Adheres to department and employer policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned

Computer Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience using ITI/Director is preferred
Education/Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent

Attendance Requirements
Employees are expected to report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared to start work. Employees are expected to remain at work for their entire work schedule. Late arrival, early departure or other absences from scheduled hours should be avoided. This position is typically full-time, Monday through Friday with a one Saturday a month rotation. Shifts may vary to fit the needs of the department.

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
