Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify hazards related to hazardous materials, environmental compliance, and safety regulations.
- Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
- Provide first aid training, CPR certification courses, and ongoing safety education to employees across all departments.
- Ensure compliance with environmental health standards by managing environmental management systems and overseeing environmental regulatory reporting.
- Maintain accurate documentation including safety reports, incident logs, and regulatory compliance records.
- Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to prepare staff for potential incidents.
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments or similar industrial settings with a strong understanding of workplace safety protocols.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards, hazardous materials regulations, Workers' Compensation law, and environmental regulatory compliance.
- Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, OSHA training, and environmental management systems are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and report writing effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to deliver training sessions and foster a culture of safety awareness.
- Familiarity with environmental health practices and occupational health expertise is preferred.
- Ability to interpret complex safety regulations and ensure ongoing compliance across all operational areas.
