Position Overview
United Church of Two Harbors is seeking a dependable and comfortable-with-technology person to support our Sunday worship livestream. This is a small, part-time position that is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes and helping people participate in worship both in person and online.
The primary responsibility is to operate and monitor our livestreaming equipment during Sunday worship. Occasional additional hours may be available for funerals, weddings, concerts, and other special services or events.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate livestreaming equipment for Sunday worship
- Monitor video and audio quality throughout the service
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues as they arise
- Start and end the livestream at the appropriate times
- Care for and properly store church technology and equipment
- Communicate any equipment concerns or needed repairs to church leadership
- Provide occasional technical support for funerals, weddings, and special events
Qualifications
- Comfortable working with computers, cameras, audio equipment, and online streaming platforms
- Able to learn and confidently operate the church’s existing livestream system
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Calm and able to problem-solve when technical difficulties occur
- Respectful of the worship environment and the people participating
- Previous livestreaming, audio/visual, or production experience is helpful but not required
Schedule and Compensation
- $25 per hour
- Up to 2 hours on Sunday mornings
- Occasional additional hours for funerals, weddings, concerts, or other special events
- Additional events will be scheduled in advance whenever possible
