What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dining Services Assistant 4:00pm-8:00pm (Sarah Todd Memorial Home) position at United Church of Christ Homes?
The part-time (12 hours/week) position provides assistance in all dining services functions as directed and instructed in accordance with established dining services policies and procedures, including:
- Serving meals in dining rooms and delivering trays, as instructed and in accordance with established portions and dietary restrictions and guidelines;
- Checking trays for appropriateness prior to distribution;
- Assisting with daily scheduled cleaning duties including surfaces, refrigerators, freezers, and floors;
- Preparing meal trays, food carts, dining rooms, etc. for meal service;
- Distributing and collecting resident menus;
- Delivering food service carts and trays to designated areas;
- Performing dishwashing and cleaning procedures;
- Preparing and delivering snacks;
- Assisting in preparation, set-up, service, and clean-up for special events and parties;
- Following established safety guidelines and providing a safety environment for residents and coworkers;
- Ensuring residents' right are protected; and,
- Working every-other weekend ($2/hour differential) and every-other holiday (Double-Time!).
