Join Our Team As a Preschool Support Teacher for this Fall 2025 school year!
Part-time and Full-time openings Available/ (Bangor and Brewer)
Come join our teaching team and help support students in general education and special education classrooms! Preschool support teachers play with children ages 2-5 while modeling communication, social, and academic skills. The Preschool Support Teacher also maintains accurate documentation and records, and implements the philosophy, policies and procedures of the organization. Part-time and full-time positions available with hours ranging from 7:30-4:30 or 9-3. Make the schedule that works for you!
Requirements
- High School Education or equivalent. 90 credit hours preferred
- Must obtain CPR/First Aid/BBP certifications within 60 days of hire (provided).
- Must obtain Safety Care certification within 30 days of hire (provided).
- Must obtain BHP certification within 12 months of hire (provided).
- Valid State of Maine driver license, reliable transportation with proof of registration and insurance, and willingness to use own transportation for work.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains daily documentation.
- Support the child’s learning and goals.
- Ensure the use of safe play skills.
- Maintain a positive learning environment.
- Follow each child’s treatment plan.
- Maintain client safety at all times.
