Job summary: Provide management of all Community Living Supports (CLS) throughout Georgia.

Essential functions of the job:

    Oversee the development and administration of the following: Director of CLS will be on call 24/7 for oversight of assigned regions.  

    Will cover regions in the absence of or vacancies of Sr. Area Managers.

    Ensure 24-hour community living support services are in place at all CLA Sites.

    Assist in the development of the department budget, ensuring that programs are within the outlined budget.

    Ensure timecards are approved by cut off period for pay period.

    Coordinate departmental meetings and leadership development of staff.

    Review and approve departmental expenditures.

    Supervise all aspects of the Sr. Area Managers’ quality of work.

    Complete monthly supervisory meetings with direct reports.

    Conduct regular visits to Community Living sites (at minimum visiting each site quarterly).

    Ensure Quality Improvement reports are completed and submitted to QI within designated timeframe.

    Maintain active contact with family members and address any escalated concerns.

    Submit Corrective Action Plans to the appropriate regional office and DBHDD as required.

    Ensure CAP evidence is submitted as requested

    Identify areas of opportunity for homes/Regions and work with QI with the development of Quality 

Improvement Plans as appropriate.

    Ensure Critical Incidents Reports are submitted by Sr. Area Managers within required timeframe as well as reports to HFR and law enforcement as appropriate. (including after-hours reportable incidents).

    Positively and effectively interact with regional office personnel, individuals, families, and all levels of UCP staff.

    Provide on-going training and support for staff.

    Ensure Sr. Area Managers are meeting with Team Leads routinely

    Ensure required submissions are completed by team (med count, behavior tracking, Relias, 

attendance logs, reports, etc.)

    Work with team to prescreen/interview and identify talent for vacancies.

    Ensure OT is below the percentage established by CFO

    Ensure regions are maintaining records and Ebridge as required per policy.

    Review satisfaction surveys, implementing changes when feasible.

    Review Support Coordination reports, implementing changes as appropriate.

    Attend required meetings (Provider, interdepartmental, etc.).

    Ensure all sites remain in compliance with all applicable standards, federal, state, and county.

    Ensure timely communication with Chief Program Officer on all programmatic matters.

    Work cooperatively and responsively with the Clinical Support Department (nursing, behavioral, etc.)

    Participate in weekly Hospital Call, and provide updates to nursing department.

    Ensure department maintains compliance with all applicable DHR/HFR/DCH policies and procedures 

regulations.

    Actively participate in agency and department goal planning, actively participate in policy development and implementation for department and agency.

    Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with consumers, families, co-workers, and community members.

    Maintain objectivity in position and set appropriate limits while working with individuals.

    Support individuals and staff in their personal growth and development, respecting cultural, ethnic, spiritual and individual differences.

    Ensures adherence to all agency policies and procedures and Community Living Arrangement

    Other duties as assigned.

Skills and aptitude required: 

    Excellent leadership skills, problem solving & critical thinking, 

    Computer literacy in Microsoft, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and data entry

    Interpersonal communication, customer service, adaptability & flexibility

    Attention to detail, time management, organization, teamwork & collaboration with multiple entities 

    Conflict resolution

Education and experience:

    Must meet GA Developmental Disability Professional (DDP) requirements – bachelor's degree in a related field like special education, social work, psychology, or human services, along with at least two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities

    Minimum of 7-10 years of related experience.

    3-5 years of supervising professional level staff. 

    Experience working in IDD residential settings strongly preferred



Salary : $110,000 - $115,000
