At United Care ABA, we're looking for compassionate, patient, and dependable individuals who enjoy helping others and want to make a meaningful difference in children's lives.

Whether you've worked as a babysitter, teacher's aide, daycare worker, home health aide, caregiver, or supported elderly individuals or people with disabilities, you may already have many of the qualities needed to succeed as a Behavior Technician (BT).

No previous ABA experience required. We provide training!

If you love working with children and want a rewarding job where you can see the difference you make, we'd love to meet you.

Why United Care ABA?

Your caring nature and experience helping others can open the door to something new.

Working as a Behavior Technician gives you the opportunity to work individually with children, encourage their progress, and celebrate the small victories that make a big difference.

Here's what makes this opportunity special:

  • Make a Real Difference: Help children develop communication, social, and everyday living skills.

  • Bring Your Experience: Backgrounds in childcare, education, home care, disability services, and elderly care can provide valuable transferable skills.

  • Try Something New: Looking to transition out of your current field? Put your patience, compassion, and people skills to work in a new setting.

  • Work One-on-One: Build a meaningful connection with a child and help them work toward important goals.

  • Flexible Part-Time Hours: Opportunities for afternoon, evening, and weekend schedules, based on client needs and your availability.

  • Training and Support: Receive guidance from experienced clinical professionals as you learn your role.

You bring the compassion. We'll provide the training and support.

What We Offer to Behavior Technicians (BT):

  • Part-Time Opportunities: Flexible scheduling with consistent, recurring hours once matched with a client.

  • Competitive Pay: $20–$22 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

  • Meaningful Work: Support children as they develop skills and become more independent.

  • Training Provided: Learn how to deliver individualized behavioral support under clinical supervision.

  • One-on-One Environment: Focus on supporting one child at a time.

  • Dedicated Clinical Guidance: Work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

  • Supportive Team: Responsive communication and clear expectations to help you succeed.

  • Opportunities for Additional Hours: Based on availability and client needs.

What We're Looking For in a Behavior Technician (BT):

You might be a great fit if you have experience as a:

  • Babysitter, nanny, daycare worker, or childcare assistant.

  • Teacher's aide, classroom assistant, or paraprofessional.

  • Home health aide (HHA), personal care aide (PCA), or caregiver.

  • Certified nursing assistant (CNA) or nursing home staff member.

  • Direct support professional (DSP) working with individuals with disabilities.

  • Caregiver supporting elderly individuals or people with dementia.

  • Camp counselor, youth mentor, or after-school program staff member.

  • Someone who simply enjoys working with children and wants to learn something new!

What matters most?

You're patient, dependable, caring, and genuinely enjoy working with children. You're comfortable following instructions, learning new techniques, and maintaining a consistent schedule.

Behavior Technician (BT) Responsibilities:

  • Work one-on-one with children with autism and developmental or behavioral needs.

  • Help children learn communication, social interaction, and everyday living skills.

  • Follow individualized teaching and behavior support plans created by clinical professionals.

  • Encourage positive behaviors and celebrate progress.

  • Record simple observations and progress data during sessions.

  • Communicate with your supervising BCBA and participate in required training.

  • Maintain a consistent schedule and provide a safe, encouraging learning environment.

Why You Should Join Us:

Sometimes the skills you've developed caring for others are the perfect foundation for a new opportunity.

If you've spent time helping children, supporting individuals with disabilities, or caring for elderly adults, you know how important patience, understanding, consistency, and compassion can be.

At United Care ABA, you can bring those qualities into a role where your work helps a child gain confidence, learn new skills, and achieve meaningful milestones.
