Company Overview
United Business Mail has been a leader in the mailing industry since 1987, specializing in mail sorting services. We operate the largest independent Standard Commingle service provider in our region, utilizing advanced high-speed sorting equipment to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking production associates for our Itasca, Illinois facility for 1st and 2nd shift.
1st SHIFT: Starting at 6:00AM, associates work up to 10 hours per day Monday – Friday, with Saturdays as needed based on processing demands. Starting pay for this shift is $16 per hour paid weekly.
2nd SHIFT: Starting at 4:45PM, associates work up to 10 hours per day Monday – Friday, with Saturdays as needed based on processing demands. Starting pay for this shift is $17 per hour paid weekly.
New employees are eligible for wage increases following their 30 and 90-day introductory periods provided they are able to meet both the performance and attendance requirements for the position.
The entry level production position (Mail Handler/Sweeper) is responsible for efficiently labeling trays, removing mail from the sorting machine, accurately placing mail into designated trays, and responding to machine jams as needed. This role requires the ability to identify numbers and accurately match numerical codes, frequently lift trays of mail weighing 20-40 pounds onto conveyors in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
