United Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County is seeking part time Youth Development Specialists for our ELOP sites after-school program in Lompoc provided through the United Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County.
2 positions open at our Fillmore School site
4 positions open at our Hapgood School site
Schedule consists of 5- 6 hours during program times.
Applicants must be available to work:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2pm-6:15pm
- Wednesday from 12:00pm-6:15pm.
This position is considered part time. Schedule is based upon The Lompoc Unified School Districts schedule of Instructional School Days additionally, work is available at our traditional Lompoc Unit during school closure times.
Key Responsibilities:
-Plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate activities in the core areas of Education, Arts & Crafts, and Recreation
-Facilitate Daily Lessons & Program Planning Sheets
-Provide support to Site Supervisor and other site staff
-Assist in recruiting new members-Maintain a positive attitude-Provide guidance and role modeling
-Implement & Maintain guidelines for daily structured classroom management-Motivate youth and manage behavior problems
-Attend Mandatory weekly & monthly meetings
-Other duties as assigned
Requirements: -At least 18 years old-High School Diploma or GED
-Pass the Instructional Assistant Proficiency Exam provided by Lompoc Unified School District or 48 college credits
-Negative TB test
-Clean criminal history
-Cleared Drug Screen
-Experience working with children
-Bilingual is a plus
