Summary:
Administer and efficiently operate a branch office, including operations, product sales, customer service, and security and safety in accordance with the Bank's objectives. Develop new deposit business; provide a superior level of customer relations and promote the sales and service culture through coaching, guidance and staff motivation; achieve individual and branch sales goals through new business sales, referrals and retention of account relationships. Responsible for proper adherence to regulatory and legal guidelines appropriate within the banking industry.
Duties:
- Hire, coach, counsel, and terminate staff according to policies and procedures.
- Provide staff development training in areas necessary for the performance of job duties and individual development.
- Conduct staff performance and salary reviews in a timely manner.
- Set and monitor goals for retail staff.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining the profitable performance of a retail branch.
- Maintain weekly prospect report and discuss opportunities with Retail Banking Manager.
- Responsible for maintaining a confidential environment to protect customers and associates.
- Direct and oversee customer transactions and provide other services as required by the customer.
- Direct and oversee opening and closing of the bank according to policies and procedures and external compliance regulations.
- Schedule work days, teller duties and teller training.
- Ensure that team members adhere to policies and procedures in all areas.
- Respond to after-hours calls as well as emergency calls regarding the branch.
- Perform new account and teller duties as needed.
- Promote and refer United Bank products and services and further establish business relationships when possible.
- Represent United Bank in a positive and professional manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some college preferred
Experience:
- 4 years progressive banking experience
- 2 years management experience
