Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Supervisor to oversee operations in our warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily activities, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining safety and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems, parts picking and logistics. Automotive mechanics and knowledge is a must.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations, ensuring quality products throughout parts picking process.
- Manage team performance, providing guidance and support to achieve operational goals.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in order fulfillment.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, manage stock movements, and optimize storage solutions.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to streamline distribution center operations and improve overall efficiency.
- Conduct regular training sessions for staff on best practices in warehouse management and safety procedures.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team productivity and identify areas for improvement.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar role within logistics or distribution centers.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and their application in daily operations.
- Experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating effective team management skills.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, along with familiarity with 3PL (third-party logistics) operations.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety practices is essential.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
- Knowledge of automotive mechanics is highly regarded.
