Role Description The Maintenance Technician role is a full-time, on-site position located in Gulfport, MS. This role is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance, including diagnosing issues, completing repairs, and ensuring that building systems, equipment, and units are safe and fully operational. Day-to-day tasks include conducting inspections, performing preventive maintenance on mechanical and building systems, responding to resident service requests, and coordinating with the property management team to prioritize work orders. The Maintenance Technician will maintain tools and supplies, follow safety protocols, and ensure compliance with company standards and local regulations. The role may also involve assisting with unit turns, minor renovations, and vendor coordination to support overall property upkeep.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for residential or multifamily properties.
- Ability to perform Troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance on building systems and mechanical equipment.
- Experience with Industrial Maintenance or similar technical maintenance environments is preferred.
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance trades is a plus.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, safety guidelines, and equipment manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Reliable transportation and availability to work on-call or after hours as needed.
