From the check-in counter to the departure gate, and even behind the scenes, our Airport Operations team keeps operations at our airports running smoothly every single day.
Key Responsibilities:
A Move Team Employee is a Specialty position within the Ramp Service classification that exists in designated locations allocated and authorized by United to perform work related to the movement of aircraft. A Move Team Employee must successfully complete the required training program, including annual recurrent training and testing, consisting of both United and Airport required training. Other responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Responsible for Aircraft Tows and maintenance pushback for United Airlines and Alliances
- Responsible for Movement of aircraft on taxiway with highspeed tug
- Coordinates movement of aircraft from remote locations to terminals, and from the terminals to remote parking areas
- Communicates with Operations Center and Aircraft Maintenance on all movements
- Support remotely parked aircraft with proper Ground Service Equipment (GSE), such as stairs, ground power units and air conditioning or heat carts
- Support the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) shutdown team
- Constant communication with ramp tower and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) tower while operating on live taxiway
- Maintain and service all tow ground equipment

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- 3 years ramp service experience
- Must have a High School Diploma/GED (General Equivalency Development) or equivalent
- Must be proficient in communicating in English at an FAA operational level
- Must have the ability to stand, bend, stoop, and crawl for extended periods of time and lift passenger baggage repeatedly
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Must be able to tolerate working in an outdoor environment with high noise levels and climate/weather conditions
- Must be able to successfully pass all pre-employment clearances
- Must be eligible to acquire and maintain credentials necessary for the position
- Must be flexible to work ANY shift in a 24/7 operation which can include nights, weekends and holidays (schedules are dictated by seniority according to Union contract guidelines)
- Must possess a valid STATE Driver's License (Suspended, expired, revoked or denied are not considered valid)
- Must be willing to adhere to United's dress code
- Successfully pass all required training and airport required movement area testing

- Previous outdoor and/or heavy lifting job experience and safety awareness preferred
- Previous Hub experience
