Responsibilities
- Manage inventory control processes using warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms to track stock levels accurately.
- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Perform stock stocking, picking & packing, shipping & receiving duties with precision to meet strict aviation industry standards.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy in warehouse distribution and inventory management.
- Handle materials with care during manufacturing, construction-related tasks, or general warehouse activities, adhering to OSHA safety protocols.
- Assist in packaging aircraft parts and materials for shipment while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Support order fulfillment processes by efficiently picking orders using RF scanners and mechanical knowledge for heavy lifting or specialized handling.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse operations, improve workflow efficiency, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Load & unload aircraft parts or supplies swiftly while maintaining safety standards for heavy equipment operation.
- Ensure all shipping & receiving documentation is completed accurately for seamless logistics flow.
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or warehouse management environments, preferably within aviation or manufacturing sectors.
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (WMS), AS400 platforms, RF scanners, and other warehouse technology tools.
- Strong understanding of inventory control practices, stock management procedures, and shipping & receiving protocols.
- Prior warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for leadership responsibilities.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling.
