Job summary
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for domestic and international customer order and invoice process, providing support by managing all transactional communications, inquiries, documentation, data entry and invoices, in coordination with plan operations and procedures. You’ll perform all functions with the objective of meeting the customer’s needs and expectations, in accordance with required safety regulations and quality standards, and export standards.
Responsibilities/daily tasks
- Interact with customer and sales staff by answering incoming calls or emails, and addressing customer requests
- Maintain customer confidence and satisfaction and handles service related issue through demonstrated experience.
- Use Pentagon or other business software system to set up and retrieve customer information, verify inventory level and process orders.
- Process sales orders and order changes including price quotation, purchase orders, shipment, and delivery date confirmations, and cancellations.
- Accurately invoice customers and assist with resolving credit issues
- Follow updated ITAR export or dangerous goods shipping procedures when applicable
- Identify quality issue or other customer problems and inform responsible department.
- Coordinate with shipping/receiving department in arranging shipping dates for open orders.
- Generate reports and use spreadsheets to understand open orders, consignment replenishment, etc.
- Provide information to management and sales force.
- Work with sales staff to manage consignment inventory and customer accounts
Qualifications
This position requires an Associate Degree with 2 years customer service experience, or equivalent experience of 5 years of customer service in an aerospace setting.
The incumbent must demonstrate computer literacy with moderate to advanced spreadsheet and word processing skills; exhibit basic ability in math, writing, spelling and vocabulary; as well as possess a pleasant phone demeanor with the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Pentagon software is a plus, as is experience with export sales and ITAR/dangerous good shipping. Some travel is required.
Physical Requirements
- Sitting for long periods of time at a computer.
- May need to lift up to 25lbs at times.
The company is a supplier which abides by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). As such, persons considered for this position must be either a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder) or otherwise classifiable as a U.S. Person under relevant ITAR regulations.
