This is a Culinary Health Fund Position
The Digital Communication Specialist supports the digital communication efforts across the organization’s digital channels. They are responsible for creating and publishing engaging content and will collaborate closely with other members of the communications team. The specialists goals are to identify and create digital content that highlights the organization’s mission, educates participants about their healthcare benefits and inform key audiences about important business news and updates. The specialist motivates and influences participants to live healthier. This role will also assist the Web Developer with website maintenance and support the Digital Communications Lead with various digital communications tasks.
Essential Job Functions And Duties
Work Schedule (may vary to meet business needs): Monday~Friday, 7.5 hours per day (37.5 hours per week) 8 - 4PM, as a flexible hybrid work from home arrangement (with some evenings and weekends, depending on events; i.e. enrollment events, back to school fair, tours, etc.)

Essential Job Functions And Duties
- Coordinates communications for the organization’s websites, social media accounts, email system, and text messaging platform
- Creates engaging content, such as graphics, illustrations, photos, and video for various digital platforms
- Plans and schedules text messages and emails
- Assists with social media efforts including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and Glassdoor
- Engages with key target audiences through effective, timely, and succinct digital communications
- Monitors online interactions and conversations, such as reviews, conversations, comments, shares, likes, follows
- Captures digital communication metrics and statistics
- Writes and publishes news articles and multimedia content for multiple digital platforms
- Manages day-to-day social media functions of the organization (ie. updates website content)
- Manages and organizes digital assets, including images, videos, and other files
- Utilizes content management systems (CMS) email systems, texting platforms, and social media channels to communicate
- Analyzes user data (e.g. click-through rates, open rates, opt-in/unsubscribe rates) to inform campaigns
- Strategizes and generates social media conversations, likes, follows and connections and analyzes social media data
- 4 ~ 6 years of direct experience minimum in mass texting, HTML email (HyperText Markup Language), public websites, secure Intranets; improving communications processes and systems; and launching and managing day-to-day social media functions of the organization
- 4 ~ 6 years working knowledge of best practices re: user experience
- 4 ~ 6 years of experience in healthcare communications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing, or related field or equivalent work experience
- Proficient Adobe Creative Suite skills
- Proficient in Excel (VLOOKIP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Bi-lingual skills preferred
- Local health centers as needed/required

Salary : $70,500 - $88,200
