Unite Contracting is seeking Apprentice Commercial Plumbers to assist the journeyman plumbers in Slidell, Louisiana, with installing, repairing, and maintaining large-scale plumbing systems in commercial buildings (e.g., offices, hospitals).
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Installation & Maintenance: Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fittings, and fixtures (e.g., toilets, sinks, water heaters) in accordance with blueprints and building codes.
- System Rough-in: Assist with installing drainage, waste, vent, and supply lines during construction phases.
- Job Site Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site by clearing debris and keeping tools in good condition.
- Troubleshooting: Help locate, identify, and repair leaks or clogs.
- Material Handling: Transport, cut, and prepare materials such as PVC, copper, or steel piping.
- Documentation: Assist in tracking inventory and completing work reports.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience: Previous construction or plumbing experience is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
