What are the responsibilities and job description for the ARIS Business Architect position at Unisys?
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Marketing, Digital, Technology, and Data teams to define and evolve the marketing business architecture, including capabilities, value streams, processes, and information flows.
- Translate marketing strategy, customer experience goals, and business requirements into clear architectural models, roadmaps, and solution designs.
- Support the definition, design, and governance of marketing platforms and applications (e.g., CMS, Martech, analytics, personalization, CRM, and AI-enabled solutions).
- Establish and maintain marketing-specific frameworks, standards, guidelines, procedures, and policies aligned with enterprise architecture principles.
- Collaborate closely with support, engineering, and implementation teams to ensure architectural alignment throughout delivery.
- Track project and program progress, clearly reporting status, risks, dependencies, blockers, and scope changes to stakeholders.
- Manage multiple concurrent workstreams across marketing initiatives, ensuring priorities, dependencies, and deliverables are clearly defined and met.
- Monitor and balance resource allocation across marketing programs, proactively identifying capacity constraints and recommending adjustments.
- Lead business process analysis and optimization efforts for marketing operations, content workflows, campaign execution, and digital experience delivery.
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve speed-to-market, quality, governance, and scalability within marketing processes.
- Drive adoption of agile and product-based delivery models within marketing and digital teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience with ARIS or another Enterprise Process Repository to capture and manage business processes is preferred.
- Bachelor s degree in business, marketing, computer science, information Systems, or a related field (master s preferred).
- 8 years of experience in business architecture, marketing technology, digital transformation, or related disciplines.
- Strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Proven experience working in agile and/or scrum environments, partnering with product owners and delivery teams.
- Expertise in business process analysis, capability modeling, and requirements definition within a marketing or digital context.
- Solid understanding of marketing technologies, digital platforms, and data-driven marketing concepts; comfortable collaborating with engineering teams and understanding technical trade-offs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, executive-ready insights.
