What success looks like in this role:
The IT Backup and Restore Operator is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the day-to-day backup operation of computer networks. Duties include maintenance and administration of networked hardware, software and other related components. Performing troubleshooting of problems / issues in backup solutions and related storage devices or grids. Escalation to senior members and/or vendors on technical issues requiring in-depth remediation and working with them through the resolution of such issues.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
- High school diploma or GED required. Background investigation and drug screen required.
- Must be US citizen, supporting government clients.
- Bachelor's degree in an IT related field or Associate Degree in an Information Technology field and two years of relevant work experience or high school diploma or equivalent and three years of relevant work experience. A current industry or technology certification preferred.
- Must have enterprise-level experience with Avamar, NetBackup, CommVault or similar tool with advanced knowledge in one or more of the technologies relating to enterprise systems, networks, backup, storage, cloud or a customer proprietary, COTS, or Unisys applications.
- Must be client-focused, display interpersonal skills and be an effective team member
- Ability to train and develop staff and/or client
- Good working knowledge with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem and Change Management) preferred. ITIL Foundation certified a plus.
