Job Requirement
- Sets up and operates CNC milling machines, including Fanuc and Haas controlled machines, to perform machining operations such as milling, drilling, and tapping.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to understand component specifications and tolerances.
- Selects appropriate tooling and determines optimal cutting parameters to achieve desired surface and dimensional accuracy.
- Performs precision measurements using instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify conformance to specifications.
- Monitors machine operation and makes necessary adjustments to maintain parts quality and production efficiency.
- Conducts quality control inspections to identify and resolve any defects or deviations from specifications.
- Maintains accurate records of production output, machine settings, and quality control results.
- Troubleshoots and resolves machining problems, including tool wear, machine malfunctions, and programming errors.
- Participates in process improvement initiatives to enhance machining efficiency and reduce scrap rates.
- Adheres to all safety procedures and maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Operates Makino CNC Milling Machines.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a formal machining apprenticeship program or equivalent training.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Mill Machinist.
- Proven experience with Fanuc and Haas controls.
- Experience with Makino CNC Milling machines
- Proficient to CNC Milling techniques and best practices.
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
- Expertise in precision measurement techniques.
- Knowledge of tooling selection and application.
- Ability to perform machine setup and operation independently.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with programming CNC milling machines.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
