Job Title: Warehouse Production/Assembly

Position Reports To: Portland Supervisor

Department: Texas Warehouse

General Summary: Entry level assembly position, taking bulk hose materials and cutting to size for completed hose assemblies, pulling of parts & fittings and mating to hose. Hoses range in diameter from ¼” to 12”.

Essential Functions:

A. Assemble metal hoses

• Cut metal hose.
• Put metal braid around metal hose tube
• Assemble fittings and couplings to metal hose.
• Size of hose ranges from ¼” diameter to 12” diameter.

(Hoses may be heavy due to braiding material and diameter.) Use metal shears

• Read a tape measure.
• Movement and staging of hose.
• Utilize a grinder, bandsaw and required hand tools.
• Pulling parts and performing basic assembly of metal hose.

B. General Duties Ensuring warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople, customer and employee traffic.

• Opening boxes, crates and/or other containers.
• Assisting in counting of physical inventory.
• May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
• Organizing warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
• Wearing the proper and required safety equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Experience: No experience required, will train the right individual. Forklift experience preferred but willing to train.

Contact with others: Regular daily routine requires contact with other employees, sales and management. Frequent contact with outside clients.

Supervision Received: Works under direct daily supervision of supervisors and/or management, receives goals and basic procedures for project assignments. Must handle prioritization with a variety of competing activities. Performs tasks independently with periodic supervisory review/audit. Seeks guidance to assure complete and appropriate action.

Working Conditions: Requires working in warehouse environment with possibility of periods with extreme temperatures. Must be able to stand for long periods of time at an assigned station, navigate stairs to pull parts and be able to lift up to 65 lbs. Will be required to operate forklift. Frequent standing, bending, lifting and pulling.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Warehouse: 3 years (Required)
• Hose Assembly: 2 years (Preferred)
