What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Systems Technician position at Uniseal/ LG Chem?
Basic Function:
The Information Systems Technician is responsible for acquiring, provisioning, deploying, and maintaining of PCs and related hardware. This role will resolve issues at the help desk level and escalate help desk tickets to others in IT if needed. He or she can assist in other areas of IT as needed. In addition, he or she is responsible for any other task the Information Systems Manager deems necessary.
Essential Functions:
- User Support - Purchase, install, and maintain desktop computers, software, and external devices.
- Maintain the IT Help Desk and coordinate user help calls between IT and end users.
- Maintain telephone system and telephones or outsource as needed.
- Maintain and configure backups for key systems and coordinate backup schedules and/or rotation with Network Administrator.
- Assist in other areas of IT as needed

Strong analytical, interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Education:
High School Diploma is required. Associate's degree is preferred.
Experience:
One year of IT work experience is required.
