Assistant Production Supervisor – 1ST shiftUniroyal Engineered Products is a leading manufacturer of vinyl coated fabrics that are durable, stain resistant, cost-effective alternatives to leather, cloth and other synthetic fabric coverings. The company manufactures automotive, specialty and Naugahyde brand products at its manufacturing plant in Stoughton, Wisconsin.Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A. The company is not able to sponsor visas at this time.Job SummaryThe Assistant Production Supervisor supports the Production Supervisor in overseeing daily manufacturing operations. You’ll help ensure that production goals are met on schedule, maintain quality standards, support the team, and help drive continuous improvement. This role is ideal for someone ready to grow into a leadership position with increasing responsibility.Position Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in supervising and coordinating day-to-day production activities.Work closely with operators and leads to meet production targets and quality standards.Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and help implement solutions for efficiency.Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operating procedures.Provide training, mentoring, and performance feedback to production staff.Help maintain production records, reports, and documentation.Step in for the Production Supervisor when they are unavailable.Support continuous improvement initiatives and Lean practices.Experience, Skills and AbilitiesRequired:Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (production, lead, or similar).Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively with team members at all levels.Basic computer skills (e.g., email, production tracking systems).Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.Preferred:Prior supervisory or shift lead experience.Experience with vinyl or fabric assembly processes (helpful, not required).Education and Technical RequirementsHigh school diploma and five years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environmentBachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, logistics or business administration preferred.Five years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environmentScheduleMonday – Friday | 7:00 am – 4:00 pm (Hours may vary)Salary Salary is negotiable based on experience.Ideal Location: Stoughton, WI | Only 20 minutes from Madison and Janesville!All candidates must be willing to submit to any job-related background check and drug screen that are required during the hiring process.Uniroyal Engineered Products LLC. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
