About the Opportunity
Uniqus Consultech is hiring a Senior Accountant on behalf of a fast-growing, regulated, and innovation-driven organization in the pharmaceutical/manufacturing sector.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional to take ownership of core accounting processes, financial reporting, and month-end close in a dynamic environment. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and exposure to a structured, compliance-driven operating model.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation and posting of journal entries
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure proper recording and cutoff of transactions
- Prepare and review accruals, prepayments, reclassifications, and other recurring entries
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items promptly
- Develop internal financial reports, variance analysis, and reporting packages for management and stakeholders
- Support financial statement preparation and audit processes, including coordination with external auditors
- Partner with operations and finance teams to ensure accurate accounting for payroll, fixed assets, and expenses
- Assist in strengthening accounting controls, close calendars, and documentation
- Contribute to ERP and process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4–7 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, financial close processes, and reporting
- Solid experience with accrual accounting and account reconciliations
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or progress toward CPA
- Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, manufacturing, or other regulated industries
- Exposure to inventory, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and audit support
- Experience in process improvement and strengthening accounting controls
