What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Worker position at Unique Wood Products?
Job Summary
We are a busy milling warehouse specializing in the production of custom stair treads, moldings, and other wood products. We are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals who want to build a career in manufacturing. No prior experience operating industrial woodworking machines is required. We are willing to train motivated employees who demonstrate a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
New hires will begin by assisting our experienced production team with daily operations. As skills and experience grow, employees will have the opportunity to learn and operate equipment such as molders, planers, and other production machinery
Duties
- Receive, organize, and move lumber throughout the warehouse.
- Bundle, count, label, and prepare finished products for stock or shipment.
- Assist experienced machine operators with production tasks.
- Safely use basic hand tools and power tools, including saws.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow safety procedures and quality standards.
- Learn production processes and potentially advance into machine operation.
Qualifications
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Willing and able to learn new skills.
- Comfortable using basic hand tools and saws.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.
- Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
- Previous warehouse, manufacturing, construction, or woodworking experience is helpful but not required.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
