JOB DESCRIPTION:
The IT Global Support Administrator is responsible for providing technical support of desktop/laptops and mobiles devices, applications, and related technology in the Miami office and remote technical assistance to affiliated offices. Support includes specification, installation, and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established standards and guidelines. Activities require interaction with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems. The position utilizes one-on-one consultancy to end users, Network and Sysadmin teams. The employee in this position also assists in the maintenance and testing of network servers and associated equipment. The position’s responsibilities require independent analyses, communication and problem solving. Work is performed with little supervision and requires initiative and judgment.
JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsibility for organizing the facilities hardware infrastructure.
- The installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop/laptops computers, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines.
- Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.
- Works with Network, Sysadmin, InfoSec and Projects teams as appropriate to determine and resolve problems received from clients.
- Interact with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client server environment. Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated file servers, email servers, application servers, and administrative systems.
- Recommends and / or performs upgrades on systems to ensure longevity.
- Works with procurement staff to purchase hardware and software.
- Assesses functional needs to determine specifications for purchases.
- Maintain an updated electronic equipment inventory in the asset management system and perform periodic inventory audits.
- Assist in maintaining LAN/WAN records and, as appropriate, telephone systems cable.
- On call responsibilities as required
- Stay abreast of advances in technology and make recommendations on how such advances can be used to the benefit of the organization.
- Maintaining endpoint inventory in supporting C-Suite users.

Qualifications include:
- Must have a strong focus on quality customer service.
- Must be able to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Experience supporting remote users (Windows and Mac).
- Experience basic with networking (TCP/IP protocols, LAN/WAN Configuration, DHCP), VPN, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, network troubleshooting.
- Technically competent with various software programs.
- Flexible during times of change.
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients and other departments.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
Considered as a plus:
- ITIL, CompTIA or Microsoft Certification.
- Manage Engines Tools (AD Manager, Endpoint Central or other MDM Solutions).
- Familiar with IT services managements tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
EXPERIENCE:
Outlined below are the academic qualifications and length and type of experience deemed necessary by Unique Vacations Inc. in order to perform the role of IT Global Support Administrator competently.
- Education: Minimum associate degree in information technology or related field
- Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar capacity (IT support, preferably in a global or multinational environment).
