- Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional models, to recover and transport vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Respond promptly to roadside assistance calls, providing support for disabled or stranded vehicles.
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after towing to ensure safety standards are met.
- Load and unload vehicles carefully, utilizing appropriate equipment such as forklifts or winches when necessary.
- Use automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to assess vehicle conditions during recovery or repair situations.
- Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, including details of incidents, locations, and vehicle conditions.
- Communicate clearly with customers, dispatchers, and emergency responders to coordinate efforts effectively.
- Manage conflict situations professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with basic automotive repairs or diagnostics when required, leveraging mechanic experience and automotive repair skills.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations related to commercial driving, tow truck operation, and roadside assistance procedures.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating tow trucks preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics and repairs.
- Familiarity with automotive repair tools.
- Hands-on experience with flatbed tow trucks, tow truck operation, and load securing techniques.
- Ability to load & unload vehicles efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or winches.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage conflicts professionally in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining safety standards at all times.
