Duties

• Greet clients warmly upon arrival, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable
• Manage appointment bookings using salon software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms
• Assist with shampooing, conditioning, and basic hair treatments to support stylists and barbers
• Handle front desk responsibilities including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and checking clients in/out
• Promote retail products through upselling techniques to enhance client satisfaction and store sales
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across workstations, including sanitation of tools like straight razors and implements
• Support store management by organizing retail inventory, processing transactions, and performing retail math calculations

Requirements

• Prior experience working in the beauty industry or customer service roles preferred but not required; enthusiasm is key!
• Knowledge of salon software such as MINDBODY or similar systems for scheduling and client management
• Familiarity with hair care services including hair coloring, styling, extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading
• Ability to perform basic sanitation procedures adhering to health regulations for tools like straight razors and other equipment
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
• Basic retail sales skills with an understanding of upselling techniques to promote products and services
• Experience or interest in learning store management tasks such as inventory control and retail math calculations
• Certification or training in cosmetology or barbering is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential

Pay: $20.00 - $27.23 per hour
