We are seeking an experienced (3 years or greater) and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing mental health practice. This position is ideal for a provider who values flexibility while delivering high-quality psychiatric care.
The provider will primarily treat adult patients, with the opportunity to manage some children and adolescents. The PMHNP will conduct psychiatric evaluations, provide medication management, and support ongoing treatment for patients in a collaborative and supportive care environment. Additional hours may become available as the practice continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments
Provide medication management and individualized treatment planning
Deliver follow-up care and monitor patient progress
Treat primarily adult patients, with a small caseload of children/adolescents
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support coordinated patient care
Provide compassionate, patient-centered mental health services via telehealth
Qualifications
Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
Active and unrestricted NC state license
Active DEA license
Must have an established collaborative physician
Experience with psychiatric evaluations and medication management
Comfort providing care in a telehealth setting
Experience treating adults; comfort managing a small pediatric/adolescent population
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Previous telehealth experience
Experience treating both adult and child/adolescent populations
Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered mental health care
Compensation
$90 hour (1099 contract position)
