Unique Homes Media, Inc. (UHM) is looking to hire a Director, Editorial & Brand Strategy to drive the strategic direction and operational execution across two of our private-label publishing and editorial media initiatives. This role will be instrumental across all aspects of content alignment, digital and print production, distribution, monetization, and partnership communications, ensuring alignment with our business objectives and editorial standards.
Responsibilities:
Content Alignment & Story-telling
- Oversees the content development and execution of one of our digital and print magazines, and related blogs, aligning our partners objectives and business needs.
- Effectively work across different internal and external editorial teams to develop a seamless communication and product mapping processes.
- Leverages technologies and tools to enhance content creation, expand distribution, develop efficiencies, and expand our reader/audience engagement. Encouraging innovative storytelling techniques and multimedia features to enhance content engagement.
- Streamlining the content production processes to ensure efficiency and timely publication. Implements and manages editorial and sales calendars.
- Executing day-to-day publishing and operational tasks with printing mills and across third party technology providers.
- Preparing and overseeing distribution lists and other related marketing tactics.
- Ongoing communications to partners and senior management
Editorial Development & Oversight
- Develops and leads a comprehensive editorial theme and strategy that aligns with the product and channel objectives and audiences.
- Works across teams to ensure all published content meets high editorial standards for accuracy, clarity, and relevance.
- Maintains the publication’s overall voice and tone in collaboration with our editorial team and customers.
Team Management
- Leads and inspires across all areas of the team, as well as the client.
- Fosters a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Comfortable with setting performance goals, and regularly provides feedback to the leadership team and partners as to the group's progress.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in publishing, journalism, communications, or a related field. Minimum of 6 years progressing through publishing, editorial or marketing roles, with at least 2 years in leadership.

- Experience in publishing and editorial development with a focus on traditional and digital media
- Confidence to challenge the norm and historic practices respectfully.
- Understanding of content strategy and distribution
- Ability to oversee strategic partnerships and relative communications.
- Willingness to accept criticism and feedback and use it in a constructive way.
- G-suite proficiency

This is a direct hire position with a salary of $50,000-$65,000 based on experience. This position can be remote for the right candidate.
