Vice President, Live Commerce & Streaming

Location: Secaucus, New Jersey — In Office

Compensation: $180,000–$200,000 base salary, plus performance-based bonus or commission

Reports to: Executive Leadership

The Opportunity:

Unique Designs Inc. is seeking an experienced executive to build and lead our live-commerce business across Whatnot, TikTok Shop, Amazon Live, and emerging streaming channels.

This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for strategy, execution, team development, and profitability. The successful candidate will use Unique Designs’ extensive jewelry inventory, product-development capabilities, global sourcing, and operational resources to build a scalable new revenue channel.

We are looking for a proven operator who can demonstrate measurable success growing a live-commerce, social-commerce, television-shopping, or related digital retail business.

Primary Responsibilities:

Strategy and P&L Ownership

• Develop the live-commerce strategy, operating plan, budget, and growth priorities across platforms.
• Own revenue, gross profit, contribution margin, expenses, customer-acquisition efficiency, and overall channel profitability.
• Identify which platforms, categories, price points, and show formats should be tested, scaled, or discontinued.

Merchandising and Commercial Execution

• Partner with merchandising, inventory, and product-development teams to create compelling, profitable streaming assortments.
• Develop pricing, promotions, auctions, bundles, product drops, and streaming-exclusive offers.
• Balance inventory-liquidation opportunities with building a sustainable repeat-purchase business.

Programming and Team Leadership

• Build the streaming calendar and oversee show concepts, product sequencing, scripts, production standards, and execution.
• Recruit, train, and manage hosts, producers, moderators, creators, and supporting team members.
• Remain closely involved in day-to-day execution and participate directly when needed.

Customer and Audience Growth

• Develop strategies to acquire, engage, and retain customers through creators, affiliates, paid media, social content, email, and SMS.
• Build a loyal customer community and improve conversion, repeat purchase rate, and customer lifetime value.
• Repurpose livestream content into effective social-media and e-commerce assets.

Analytics and Operations

• Track performance by platform, show, host, product, and customer, including revenue, margin, conversion, average order value, acquisition cost, returns, and repeat purchases.
• Coordinate with warehouse, customer service, finance, IT, and compliance teams to ensure accurate listings, reliable fulfillment, and strong customer service.
• Establish scalable procedures for inventory reservation, order processing, shipping, returns, fraud prevention, and platform compliance.

Required Experience

• Demonstrated success building or materially growing a live-commerce, social-commerce, television-shopping, creator-commerce, or comparable digital retail business.
• Experience with Whatnot, TikTok Shop, Amazon Live, QVC/HSN, TalkShopLive, or a similar platform.
• Proven responsibility for revenue growth, profitability, budgets, forecasts, or a business-unit P&L.
• Strong knowledge of livestream merchandising, audience development, hosting, performance marketing, and e-commerce operations.
• Experience recruiting and managing hosts, creators, producers, or commercial teams.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate performance data into clear operating decisions.
• Willingness to work strategically and tactically while building a business from the ground up.
• Ability to work from our Secaucus office and support evening or weekend programming when required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience selling jewelry, luxury goods, fashion, beauty, collectibles, or other visually demonstrable products.
• Existing relationships with successful hosts, creators, affiliates, or live-commerce platforms.
• Familiarity with high-value inventory, product authentication, customer trust, payment risk, and returns.
• Knowledge of jewelry products and applicable product-disclosure requirements.

First-Year Expectations

• Establish the channel strategy, financial plan, team structure, and performance dashboard.
• Launch a consistent streaming calendar and identify the strongest platforms, hosts, products, and show formats.
• Deliver measurable, profitable revenue growth and a credible plan for scaling the business.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated base-salary range is $180,000–$200,000, depending on experience and demonstrated results. The position will also be eligible for a performance-based bonus or commission tied to revenue, gross profit, contribution margin, and other agreed-upon objectives.
