We are seeking a motivated IT Assistant to support our staff and ensure the smooth operation of our technology systems. About the Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in the IT field. This person takes initiative, enjoys learning new technologies, and can communicate technical information clearly to non-technical team members. Apprenticeship working with experienced IT professionals is offered.
Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite technical support to staff by troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Set up and configure computers, tablets, and other devices for team members.
- Work with vendors such as Jotform and RingCentral to resolve technical concerns and improve system performance.
- Document technical procedures, create user guides, and produce regular IT reports.
- Assist users with training and help them understand systems and technology tools.
- Follow help-desk and ticketing protocols, escalating issues when necessary.
- Manage and track IT assets, including devices, peripherals, and software licenses, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Troubleshoot and support database challenges that may arise.
- Support operational workflows within the IT department and assist with system updates, data security, and maintenance.
Soft Skills & Other Abilities:
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to effectively assist and train non-technical staff.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills and adherence to documentation procedures.
- Team-oriented and adaptable, able to handle changing priorities and perform well under pressure.
- A customer service mindset—patient, approachable, and committed to providing helpful, responsive support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of computer networks, operating systems, and common office software.
- Knowledge of SQL, HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript is preferred but not required.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
