Position Overview
The Purchasing Representative supports the purchasing function by maintaining structured workflows, ensuring data accuracy, and coordinating effectively with vendors and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
• Generate purchase orders and manage the PO creation queue.
• Distribute PO’s to vendors and ensure timely confirmation.
• Monitor the purchasing inbox for confirmations, tracking information, and vendor updates.
• Record tracking numbers and update corresponding PO’s in the system.
• Create packing lists for dropship (DS) orders upon receipt of tracking details.
• Review vendor backorders or out-of-stock notifications and coordinate with Customer Service.
• Monitor aging purchase orders and obtain status updates from vendors.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in purchasing, supply chain, or related administrative operations preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to learn systems and processes quickly.
• Professional, clear, and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced environment.
