Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Injection Mold Maker to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the manufacture, maintenance, and repair of injection molds used in plastics manufacturing. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality molded parts by utilizing advanced machining techniques and precision measurement tools. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and CAD models to accurately fabricate and modify molds.
- Operate CNC machining centers, including milling machines and EDM (wire and sinker) to produce precise mold components.
- Program CNC machines using CAM software, ensuring optimal tool paths and machining parameters.
- Assemble mold components using hand tools and various shop equipment to ensure proper fit and function.
- Conduct inspections with calipers, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and other tools to verify dimensions against specifications.
- Maintain detailed documentation of mold fabrication processes, adjustments, and repairs for quality control purposes.

- Proficiency in CAD software to review and interpret mold designs.
- Experience with CNC Programming and CAM software to automate machining operations
- Strong knowledge of plastics injection molding processes, resins, and tooling design principles.
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards for precise measurements.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and assemble/repair hot runner systems, troubleshoot sensors, and adjust/replace limit switches.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience operating CNC and manual milling machines and CNC EDM, as well as other basic manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and best practices in a machine shop environment.
