Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver affiliated with FedEx Ground. This energetic role offers the opportunity to drive new commercial trucks to either dedicated stable locations or different states across the country.
You’ll be an essential part of our logistics operations, ensuring timely deliveries across diverse routes while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a range of commercial trucks with automatic transmissions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel efficiency.
- Deliver freight accurately across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery status, or any unforeseen issues during transit.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
- 1 year of experience in commercial truck driving.
- Presence of double-triple endorsement
- Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for efficient routing.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service.
Pay: $0.80 - $0.85 per mile
