The Front Desk Assistant serves as the first point of contact for the VP of Student Affairs, Community Standards, Title IX, and Title VI office. They provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks in a professional environment. Department: Dean of Students Location: Reamer Campus Center Student supervisor: Ricky Reiss Work available: Days; Monday-Friday Rate of Pay: $9.70/hr Number of Positions Available: 2 Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Answer and direct incoming phone calls and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner Provide accurate information to students regarding campus policies, updates, and general inquiries Assist with disseminating communications and announcements Support the three offices housed in the suite (Student Affairs, Community Standards, and Title IX) with administrative and operational tasks as needed Maintain a welcoming and professional front desk environment Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental needs Qualifications: Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to stay organized and manage multiple responsibilities Professional demeanor and attention to detail Basic computer proficiency (email, word processing, etc.) Location: Schenectady, NY E-Verify Participation: Union College participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the United States.
