Summer-to-Full-Year Position with WVIA
Serve with WVIA through AmeriCorps while helping expand educational programming and strengthen community-based learning opportunities across Northeastern Pennsylvania. This position begins with a summer term and transitions into a full-time AmeriCorps service year through August 2027.
Pay & Benefits
Summer Minimum-Time Term (June 8, 2026 – August 15, 2026)
$3,705 total living allowance
$1,565.08 Segal AmeriCorps Education Award upon successful completion
Full-Time Term (Late August 2026 – August 2027)
$21,415 total living allowance
$7,395 Segal AmeriCorps Education Award upon successful completion

About the Role
The AmeriCorps Education Program Support Member assists WVIA in expanding access to educational programming and strengthening community-based learning opportunities.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with preparation and implementation of educational programs
- Support outreach to schools, libraries, museums, and community organizations
- Help build and maintain partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders
- Assist with developing educational materials and outreach resources
- Support workshops, trainings, and educational events
- Help engage participants during programs and activities
- Assist with volunteer coordination under staff supervision
- Support newsletters, social media promotion, and communication efforts
- Assist with tracking participation data and maintaining organized program records
- Participate in AmeriCorps orientation, trainings, and convenings

- Comfort engaging with students, educators, and community members
- Reliable, organized, and community-oriented
- Ability to adapt and support multiple projects and events
- Willingness to occasionally serve evenings or weekends
Basic Requirements
- High school diploma
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass required background checks
- Commitment to community service and AmeriCorps mission
